Nature in the picture!

 Hello Readers!

For the Earth Day Celebration, Rohan Anna (Rohan Nanjapa) took me and Radha down for some photography. We were lucky today and found some rare birds and creatures around in the garden.

Among some of the photos, here are the best ones!

This is called a 'Blue Banded Bee'. 'Amegilla cingulate' is the scientific name for this kind of bee.

These are a bouquet of
Bougainvillea flowers. These flowers are growing at a height and are from the family 'Nyctaginaceae'.

This is a 'White Fantailed Bird'. It has a fan-like tail and white spots all around. It is sitting on its newly built nest. Hopefully, some eggs come!

This is a Hibiscus Flower growing on a fairly big plant. It comes from the 'Malvaceae family. Each flower usually has 5 petals.

And presenting the rarest and most beautiful picture...

The rare 'Blue Oakleaf Butterfly'. It is very rare in cities and towns like Bombay. It is like a leaf on the outside and is striking blue on the inside. However, it is usually found in India! 'Kallima horsfieldi' is its scientific name.

Thank you Funschool, Rohan Anna, and Lekha Teacher for helping us overcome our fears of insects and photographing so many of them!
